About Young Skål
Young Skål is park of Skål International Hawai'i, an association of travel and tourism industry professionals, collaborating to promote global tourism and goodwill. Travel managers founded the first Skål club in 1932 in Paris. Today, it is the ONLY internation group uniting all branches of the travel and tourism industry. Young Skål, established by Skål Internation in 1999, is considered the many regional chapters to be an investment in the future of the club. Young Skål participates in networking opportunities, including monthly dinners with local tourism and hospitality executives, site inspections, fundraisers, and more. Young Skål members receive access to the international Skål database, which has contact information for more than 20,000 members in 500 clubs in 85 nations.
The mission of Young Skål is to enroll all persons training or working in the sale and/or promotion of tourism worldwide into the movement. The objective is to welcome them into the world of Skål International and make them familiar with its values: Friendship, Peace, Solidarity, and promoting common, local and international interests in the Tourism Industry, thus ensuring that once a managerial position is reached, the Young Skålleage will continue to support the movement strongly, its ideals and principals and being a leader, to proactively transform the environment in which he/she lives.
