Hawaiʻi’s Executive Development Institute for Tourism (EDIT) Program
The Executive Development Institute for Tourism (EDIT) is the professional development program for career-minded tourism professionals. The eleven day institute offers a rigorous and interactive curriculum, preparing leaders to develop strategic approaches in global destination marketing, product development, and international tourism policy. Through various learning methods the program encourages participants to build their knowledge and understanding of the development, management and marketing of the travel and tourism industry.
EDIT alumni are tourism, transportation, hospitality and academic professionals from over sixty tourism destinations world-wide with diverse industry back grounds in travel. Graduates say they appreciate the breadth and depth of the program, enabling them to take on increased leadership and executive roles. The program encourages participants to broaden their knowledge and develop higher thinking skills for creativity and enterprise in the travel and tourism industry.

EDIT Program Dates
April 13 – April 24, 2020
January 15, 2020 – Application Deadline
February 15, 2020 – Program fee payment due
March 1, 2020 – Enrollment Invitation Letter Mailed to Applicants
- Designed for individuals with at least 5 years managerial responsiblilites in tourism or travel-related businesses
- Enrollment strategy is to select up to two participants per country, no more than 20
- Must have a minium to high level of proficiency in English
